Action not anxiety Many people are worried about the changing atmosphere toward Jews in America. I’d like to share a perspective from the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe. He was asked about a patient whose doctors disagreed—one optimistic, the other pessimistic. The Rebbe answered: When it comes to action, follow the more cautious doctor and do everything possible to help the patient. But when it comes to your outlook, think like the optimistic doctor. The same is true today. We should do whatever is within our power to strengthen our community, but we should live with confidence and trust in G‑d. The Jewish people have been blessed in America, and with G‑d’s help, will continue to be for many years to come. |
